We have been loyal members of timeshare, firstly with GVC, then Sunterra and now DR. We have always paid our annual management fees promptly and, until September last year (2007) we have never had to approach you with a problem. Now that we HAVE approached you, we have received one autoreply E-mail from Stephen Cloobeck promising that he will "personally intervene, if need be". You have stated, and I quote "Hicks joins a strong executive team committed to delivering the highest standards of guest satisfaction and hospitality". I have received no correspondence, let alone satisfaction and hospitality. All I asked for in the first place was for you to show a little sympathy and waive this year's annual maintenance fee as a gesture of goodwill and appreciation of our 20 year's loyalty. If you wish to find out details of my complaint, which has now gone to solicitors which was something I preferred to avoid as I had an affection for Sunterra (as it was then named)look up my membership number 1-197617. Regards, Joyce Smith (Mrs.)

I do not understand why this person is upset. You are asking for a discount for your annual fees that you have agreed to and are contractually obligated to fulfill?

Any other business would require you to meet your legal obligations. If you are not wanting to pay you annual fees, then you should not have signed the contract!
